The Jealous Lover

There once was a Lover whose heart was set on His beloved from the beginning of time. With hands that shaped stars and eyes that saw beyond eternity, He crafted a world so beautiful, filled with colors, sounds, and scents — each element designed to echo His love. His greatest joy was in creating a sanctuary for His beloved, a place where they could walk together, unhindered and close.

But as in any true love story, the journey was not without obstacles. The Lover’s heart ached, for His beloved had a wandering soul, easily captivated by the glittering, fleeting things in this world. She sometimes sought excitement in places that couldn’t satisfy and drifted toward shadows that promised a thrill but left her feeling empty. And so, she would turn away, finding herself lost in illusions that had no power to hold her.

One day, when the beloved had wandered too far and found herself lost in a deep and lonely valley, she felt a stirring, a gentle pull as though someone was calling her by name. She looked around, expecting to see a familiar face or hear a distant echo, but there was no one. Yet, she felt His presence everywhere — in the rustling leaves, in the warmth of the sun on her skin, in the gentle breeze that seemed to whisper, “Come back to Me.”

The Lover was there, waiting for her, calling her heart to remember what it truly yearned for. Her eyes opened to the beauty she had been missing, the warmth she had turned away from, the hands that had always been reaching for her. Her heart, once scattered and torn, began to feel whole, even before she reached His embrace. She felt cherished, known, and protected.

When she finally returned, the Lover welcomed her without a trace of bitterness or regret. His joy overflowed, as though she had never strayed, as though He had waited only moments and not ages for her return. His love poured over her like water, cleansing, renewing, and filling every empty space. In His presence, she felt free from the chains of false promises, free from the desires that had once bound her.

As she walked with Him, she began to understand the depths of His jealousy. He was not possessive in the way she had thought; He simply knew that nothing else could give her the joy, peace, and love she needed. His jealousy was protective, guarding her from harm, from falsehoods, from anything that would lead her away. His love was the kind that would wait forever if needed, always drawing her back, always patient, always yearning for her happiness.

With time, her heart settled, and the wandering desire for other loves faded. She found herself content, her heart at rest in the warmth of His presence, captivated by the Lover who would cross any distance, wait through any silence, and pursue her with a love that neither ages nor fades.

In His embrace, she was finally home. And though she had wandered, she knew now that she was truly His — cherished, protected, and loved forever. Are we also like that wandering beloved. The Love of GOD for us is everlasting. Have you said YES to Jesus? Will you accept this unending love of Christ Jesus for you today?
