A Reflection from the Island of Patmos

By the Island of Patmos, where the Apostle John once received divine revelations, I find myself surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature. This serene environment stirs something deep within me, a feeling that can only be described as pure love. It's a love so powerful that it sparkles through my heart, a love unquenchable by any multitude of waters, reminiscent of the love described in the Song of Solomon: "Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away" (Song of Solomon 8:7, NIV).

As I ponder this overwhelming sensation, I can't help but wonder, what do we call this? How can such profound emotion be explained or demystified? It's like a butterfly turning in my belly, an exciting and almost surreal feeling. My heart, oh my heart, you have been captured. The light of this love has shone on every corner of my being, making everything clearer than a crystal ball. The Apostle John also spoke of a divine light, saying, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" (John 1:5, NIV).

In the midst of this revelation, a name comes to mind—O-l-o-l-u-f-e-m-i. It sounds like a song, a melody that holds me in its sweet embrace. I sing this love song for you, my One and Only. It's a love that brings to mind the comforting words of Psalm 63:3, "Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you" (NIV).

Kori ko sun mi, you have turned my life around. Yes, I am deeply in love with the Master, Jesus Christ, who has kept me all the way despite my mess and filth. He has given me His best, demonstrating a love that is unfathomable and unconditional. The Apostle Paul wrote about this perfect love, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8, NIV).

In reflecting on this profound love, I am reminded of how Jesus' love transforms and renews. He captures our hearts, illuminates our lives, and holds us in an eternal embrace. This love, clearer than any earthly comparison, is a testament to the divine relationship we are invited into. If you have not yet opened your heart to the Love of Christ. This is an opportunity to do so. Your heart may not be as this close to accepting Him, if you delay. Ask that the Lord forgive your sin, and decide to make him the Lord and Master of your life. I welcome you into a new journey into Joy unspeakable. God bless.
